Having led the British Rally Championship all year, Keith & Greg relinquished that lead following their failure to finish the Ulster Rally. They now trail Mark Higgins by 20 points but when the dropped score is allowed for(only 5 of the 6 rounds count), the deficit is just 2 points.

Before Ulster they knew that the championship would most likely be decided on the Trackrod International Rally in Yorkshire on 26th of September. Being the final round of the championship, the points awarded are multiplied by a factor of 1.5. This will ensure that if they can finish that event in front of Mark Higgins, they can still take the championship. It will be a classic 'winner take all' scenario.
Despite their off whilst leading in Ulster they should be full of confidence on the final gravel rally of the championship as they have not been beaten on gravel yet this year, winning the three gravel rallies that they have entered.
